The Science of Performance.
Strategic Kaizen was proven before it was theorised. Theorised before it was published. Published before it was presented to the world at the World Productivity Congress in Bahrain. And confirmed by the Romanian Academy as an original contribution to the science of management. The sequence is not biography. It is the only kind of intellectual capital that governs reliably.
of Strategic Kaizen.
In April 2017, at the 18th World Productivity Congress in Manama, Bahrain — the most prestigious global gathering of productivity science — Strategic Kaizen was presented for the first time to the world, in the plenary session of the congress. Not in a breakout room. In the plenary session, before the international assembly of the world’s leading productivity authorities.
This was the global launch of the paradigm alongside the publication of Manufacturing Cost Policy Deployment (MCPD) and Methods Design Concept (MDC): The Path to Competitiveness — the first book to formally introduce Strategic Kaizen, KAIZENshiro, and the framework of Synchronous Profitable Operations to an international scientific and executive audience.
The Congress brought together productivity leaders from every continent. The moment Strategic Kaizen entered the plenary session in Bahrain, it ceased to be a consulting methodology and became what it had always scientifically been: an internationally validated paradigm for profitable manufacturing.
A paradigm, once publicly proven in the highest forum of its discipline, cannot be un-seen. That is what Bahrain was.
of Practice and Science.
Alin Posteucă is a consultant in productivity and profitability whose principal focus is the field of Takt Profit. When researching the interactions between operating target time and inventory structures at the manufacturing flow level, he identified detailed typologies of losses and waste for each cost structure and discovered the modelling necessary to simultaneously achieve the operational and financial target performance expected by manufacturing companies.
He showed how to convert the target profit into Takt Profit (profit per minute), thus facilitating planning and optimising production to continuously achieve the target profit, regardless of sales trend — increasing or decreasing. The result: an effective and efficient balance between management results and management resources, integrating productivity review and improvement directly within the planning process. The transition from empirical to scientific strategic improvements.
The practical applications of Alin Posteucă’s concepts — Strategic Kaizen, Takt Profit, Speed-Based Target Profit, Synchronous Profitable Operations, Manufacturing Cost Policy Deployment, and KAIZENshiro budgets — have allowed many companies to continuously increase their productivity and profitability. Today, many manufacturing companies use Takt Profit to achieve sustainable results. 150+ Strategic Kaizen Projects. 7 industries. More than 20 years of management consulting experience.

Prize in Romania.
The “Traian Vuia” Prize of the Romanian Academy is the highest scientific recognition in Romania — awarded by the Department of Technical Sciences for scientific research in the field of operational excellence. It is not a career award. It is a scientific verdict: the research that created the Strategic Kaizen Paradigm, Manufacturing Cost Policy Deployment, Speed-Based Target Profit, and Synchronous Profitable Operations constitutes an original contribution to the science of management at the highest academic level.
The prize represents the institutional confirmation that takt profit and KAIZENshiro are not tools — they are a paradigm. A paradigm validated by both the production floor and the highest scientific body in Romania.
Formalised a Paradigm.
The doctoral thesis in Industrial Engineering is the foundational scientific act through which Strategic Kaizen was formally defined as a paradigm. The thesis established the scientific framework connecting cost of losses and waste, manufacturing flow synchronisation, takt profit, and the annual KAIZENshiro budget in a unified, testable system.
It was the moment when the accumulated practice — and the international research work at Linköping University, Sweden — became a reproducible scientific architecture: peer-reviewed, academically validated, and ready to be taught and replicated in any manufacturing organisation in the world. The thesis was not the beginning of Strategic Kaizen. It was its proof.
Practice became Science. Science confirmed Practice. And together they created the paradigm that the Romanian Academy recognised as an original contribution to the science of management.
