MCPD: from Target and Actual Cost to Ideal Cost

Recently, I have received several requests to briefly explain how costs are consistently improved using Manufacturing Cost Policy Deployment (MCPD). For this, I recently wrote a paper for the Publishing House of the Romanian Academy; The Romanian Journal of Technical Sciences – Applied Mechanics Series.

But what is MCPD in short? MCPD is the way to a unique, non-traditional structured approach, to identify feasible operational improvements and to achieve profitability and productivity targets regardless of whether sales increase or decrease.
